    The 18-hole "St. Marlo" course at the St. Marlo Country Club facility in Duluth, Georgia features 6,923 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 72. The course rating is 73.5 and it has a slope rating of 138. Mark Lin manages the St Marlo Golf course as the General Manager and Tim Weinhart as Golf Professional.

    St Marlo is already ranked third among Atlanta's best daily fee courses by both the Atlanta Journal and Constitution and Georgia Golf News and top 10 according to Golf Digest, St. Marlo's championship eighteen hole golf course is open to residents and non-residents.

    Designed by Denis Griffiths (Chateau Elan, Georgia National), St Marlo's course plays to a par 72 and measures approximately 7,000 yards from the championship tees! Furthermore, each of the eighteen holes features up to six tee complexes assuring golfers of all levels a challenging experience. The course at St Marlo also includes artistic waterfalls, distinctive stonewalls, and beautiful hardwoods, all designed to flow with the natural, rolling terrain of the land. To further complement the spectacular course, St Marlo's luxurious clubhouse is placed atop the highest elevation in the community so visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of the tree-lined horizon and the entire St Marlo community.

    Women’s Club - This group is made up of women of all ages. They enjoy doing work for various charities, and also just for the social aspect. Several Bunkos are also held every year.

    Lunch Bunch - This is a group that meets every month at a local restaurant.

    Playground Group - Moms meet at the Playground weekly during the warmer months.

    Knitting and Book Clubs - These two groups also meet monthly.

    Garden Club - This group meets monthly, scheduling speakers and doing small projects both for charities and for the community (Yard of the Month and common area improvements).

    With an average millage rate of 22.88 Forsyth County has the lowest tax rate in all of metro Atlanta. In addition, retiree’s (65+) enjoy a school tax exemption which represents approximately 82% of the tax bill.

    FORSYTH COUNTY PROPERTY TAX (EXAMPLE):

    To determine the amount of your property taxes, several values are needed. These values are the Fair Market Value (FMV), Assessed Value (ASV), and the Millage Rate. The Millage Rate is defined as dollars per $1,000.00 of assessed value. For 2006, the Millage Rate for Forsyth County has been set at $22.88 per $1000.00 or the decimal equivalent of .02288.

    Fair Market Value (F.M.V.) X 40% = Assessed Value

    Assessed Value X Millage = Tax

    Millage is usually expressed as dollars per $1,000.00 of Assessed Value

    Example: In 2006, Forsyth County's millage rate is set at .02288. If your property has a FMV of $500,000, the ASV would be 40% or $200,000. Multiply the ASV of $200,000 by the millage rate of .02288 to determine your property taxes. In this example, property taxes would be $4,576.00.
