  • ELECTRICITY: A part of Georgia's modern integrated electrical transmission system, Fulton County has excellent ability to supply industrial demands.   • ST IVES GOLF CLUB:

    The Par 72 18-hole golf course at St Ives Country Club was designed by Tom Fazio. Originally constructed in 1988, the course was completely renovated in 1999. From the gold tees it offers a real challenge to any golfer featuring 6,932 yards of lush fairways that are guarded by 82 manicured sand traps. The greens are some of the finest found in Georgia. A creek meanders through the course that feeds 3 beautiful lakes that serve as the source of water to keep the course in top notch condition year round. Four sets of Tees on each hole provide golfing fun for all skill levels. A two tiered driving range is directly behind the Clubhouse along with two greens, one for putting practice and the other for chipping and sand trap practice.

    GOLF PRO:

    As Head Golf Professional of St Ives, William “Billy” Jack is responsible for the entire golf operation of the Club, including the management of the golf shop, member, member/guest, and junior tournaments as well as charity outings held at the club, and private lessons and group clinics. Billy Jack, a PGA Class A level Professional and native of Glasgow Scotland, was a member of the 1979 NCAA National Championship Team at Ohio State before graduating with a B.S. degree in Business Administration. Before joining St Ives in April of 2002, Billy began his professional career at Frenchman's Creek Golf Club in North Palm Beach, Florida, then served under Jim Gerring at Muirfield Village (Ohio) for almost five years before assuming his past position at Treyburn Country Club in Durham North Carolina.

    GOLF MEMBERSHIP PROGRAMS:

    St Ives Country Club is a Member-Owned Private Club, However, membership is open to both Residents of St Ives and Non-Residents.

    Full Privilege Membership:

    Entitles the family (including children under the age of 23 or age 25 if a full time student or in the Armed Forces) full use of the Club including privileges for the Golf, Pool, Tennis and Clubhouse facilities. The Full Privilege Membership is an Equity Membership with an Initiation Fee due at time of nomination. The Initiation Fee is non-refundable based on the Club’s Relocation Refundability Program.

    Full Privilege Membership-Payment Plan:

    Entitles the family (including children under the age of 23 or age 25 if a full time student or in the Armed Forces) full use of the Club including privileges for the Golf, Pool, Tennis and Clubhouse facilities. An Initiation Fee is due with the application. Subsequent installment Initiation Fee Payments are due on the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Membership anniversary date. Once Initiation Fee is fully paid, Member is a full equity Member. The Relocation Refundability Program does not apply.

    Social Membership:

    Entitles the family (including children under the age of 23 or age 25 if a full time student or in the Armed Forces) use of the Club including privileges for the Pool, Tennis and Clubhouse facilities. Social Memberships are Non-equity Memberships. Social Members also have the following Golf privileges (the Club may revise the Golf privileges of Social Members, if needed):
    -Social Members are permitted to have up to a total (including the times such Member plays as a guest of a Full Privilege Member) of six (6) rounds per calendar year and pay 100% of the golf guest fee. (Rounds may be a single or a foursome.)
    -Social Members may play golf at the following times based upon tee time availability:
    -Tuesday through Thursday, Friday through Sunday, and holidays. All play is at the discretion of the Golf Professional.

    Junior Membership:

    Entitles Members from the age of 23 to 40 and their family (including spouse and children) full use of the Club including privileges for the Golf, Pool, Tennis and Clubhouse facilities.

    Legacy Membership:

    Entitles the sons/daughters (from age 23 until 35) of an existing Full Privilege Member in good standing full use of the Club including privileges for Golf (see restrictions below), Pool, Tennis, and Clubhouse facilities. The Legacy Membership is a family Membership that includes spouse and eligible children. The current one time Full Privilege Initiation fee will first be reduced by 50% and then divided by 12 (the number of years from age 23 until 35). If a son/daughter is age 23 (on his/her last birthday), he/she will pay 1/12 of 50% of the current Initiation Fee at time of nomination and an additional 1/12 each year until paid in full at the age of 35. Members over age 23 will pay a prorated Initiation Fee owed for their age at time of nomination and an additional 1/12 each year until paid in full, the month prior to their 35th birthday.
    The Legacy Member may play Golf at the following times:
    -Any time Tuesday through Thursday
    -Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Holiday afternoons at the discretion of the Golf Professional
    Dues will be paid at the following reduced rates based on the Full Privilege monthly Membership dues of $440 per month: Ages 23-26 at 25%; Ages 27-30 at 50%; Ages 31-34 at 75%. The Relocation Refundability Program does not apply.

    Corporate Membership:

    There shall be a maximum of fifteen Members in a Corporate Membership.
    Entitles the family (including children under the age of 23 or to age 25 if a full time student or in the Armed Forces) fall use of the Club, which includes privileges for the Golf, Pool, Tennis, and Clubhouse facilities. The Primary Designee shall pay the same dues and fees as that of a Full Privilege Member. The monthly dues and fees for a Designee are the same as for Full Privilege Membership. The monthly dues and fees for a Corporate Representative are the same as the Membership classification in which he/she is a Member.

    Senior Membership:

    A Full Privilege Member may request a Senior Membership if they have been a Full Privilege Member for 15 years, are in good standing, and are 72 years of age or older. Members would be required to pay the capital charge and assessments of a Full Privilege Member, would be allowed to vote, will pay the same dues as a Social Member, can play golf at any time as many times as they want, and will pay the family guest rate when they play golf

Families can enjoy a casual or fine dining experience. Many Holiday meals and Cocktail Parties are planned by the clubhouse director and buffets are available weekly. The clubhouse also has a Grill/Lounge for playing cards with friends or taking a break from the course. Men’s and Women’s locker rooms are also available to accommodate members and a Pro Shop is open 6 days a week.

  • ST IVES AMENITY INFORMATION:

    St Ives Country Club has approximately 766 Homes and is set on over 650 wooded rolling acres. Home Prices can range from the low 500,000’s to over 4 Million. Recently, a new pod has opened with 16 home sites. Six home sites have already been sold and ten are still available. Please contact Jackye or Chris with any questions!

    There is a one time Initiation Fee of $1,500.00 that is used for future improvements and maintenance. The HOA fee is made twice a year at $750.00 and covers common area landscaping, street lights and 24 hour security with guarded gates.

    CLUBHOUSE:

    POOL FACILITY/CABANA:

    The Pool at St Ives and diving facilities are some of the finest in North Fulton County. Our Swim and undefeated Dive Teams compete regularly during the summer with surrounding Clubs. Trained lifeguards closely supervise the Pool and Toddler Pool during the hours that it is open. Time is also set aside daily for adult swimming. Numerous social events and activities are enjoyed during the season for juniors and adults. A recent addition to St Ives, the 40 ft. tall Slide is enjoyed by all children and adults alike. Don’t forget the pool opens May 16th 2008!
    The Cabana at the St Ives pool is available to all members and has a large selection of food and beverages for all ages.

    TENNIS PAVILLION:

    Ten Hard and six Har-Tru courts make up the current level of lighted courts. ALTA and USTA participation by members is welcomed. Tennis programs begin at age four for the kids. In addition, there is an abundance of social activities throughout the year for Tennis players.

    TENNIS DIRECTOR:

    Creig Matthieson has been serving as Director of Tennis at St Ives Country Club since 1993. The Tennis Program has more than doubled in participation, resulting in four hundred men, women, and junior tennis players. As a junior tennis player Creig held state rankings in Texas and played for the University of Texas/Dallas collegiate team. Creig graduated with a BBA double major in finance and marketing. Creig also played on the USA Junior Tennis Team in 1976 and was selected from fifteen juniors in the Southwest to compete abroad in International Tournaments in eight countries. Creig has been a certified member of the USPTA with a Pro 1 rating for the past twenty five years. He also has held board positions for tennis organizations, served as Co-Tournament Director for the USPTA National Championships, and served as convention chairman for the TPTA.

    Mathematics of Property Tax Example (Fulton):

    To determine the amount of your property taxes, several values are needed. These values are the Fair Market Value (FMV), Assessed Value (ASV), and the Millage Rate. The Millage Rate is defined as dollars per $1,000.00 of assessed value. For 2006, the Millage Rate for Fulton County has been set at $34.73 per $1000.00 or the decimal equivalent of .03473.

    Fair Market Value (F.M.V.) X 40% = Assessed Value

    Assessed Value X Millage = Tax

    Millage is usually expressed as dollars per $1,000.00 of Assessed Value

    Example: In 2006, Fulton County's millage rate is set at .03473. If your property has a FMV of $500,000, the ASV would be 40% or $200,000. Multiply the ASV of $200,000 by the millage rate of .03473 to determine your property taxes. In this example, property taxes would be $6,946.00
